New Year, New Features!

Allchemist blog

For us, the Allchemist team, the number one goal has been clear from the beginnings. It’s simple: Listen to users’ needs and make Allchemist frictionless as possible!

What are some of your biggest business goals for this year, what challenges do you want to overcome in your workspace in 2020? Could you share them with me on LinkedIn? I’m interested to hear your thoughts.

We rolled out new updates and features that make your work even faster & more seamless with Allchemist:

Contact Supplier

This feature is beneficial for R&D teams as well as the chemical suppliers.

Although Allchemist gives you the comfort to search, compare, and use materials/chemicals data directly in Formulation Mixer, at some point, you still have to contact the chemical supplier. Maybe you have a particular production question, you are interested in the availability of the product in your market or want to get the quoted price. Whatever it is you’re interested in, you can now contact the right person directly via Allchemist.

You see, in Allchemist, we don’t disclose your e-mail to suppliers when you’re searching for materials and then mixing them in the Formulation Mixer. You are the one who is sending the request when you decide so.

On the other hand, companies who supply chemicals/raw materials get this way high-quality leads directly in their inbox.

You can read more on generating highly qualified leads with Allchemist HERE >>

Good to know: we do not charge for leads; it’s entirely up to users (those who source for chemicals) to contact you on their terms.

Pricing of the formulation

In the Formulation Mixer, you add the price for each raw material/chemical to get the sense of the production price per desired quantity of formula.  Before this update, you had to type in price for the same chemical in every formulation separately. Now it stays saved, which means it saves you the time of typing in the prices each time you formulate.

Safety Data Sheet improvements

In Allchemist, the creation of Material Safety Data Sheets is a fully automated process. Based on the formulation or individual material composition data, the majority of the Safety Data Sheet generates automatically for 30+ markets. All you have to do is check it (for each language), revise it, and then share it, store it in Allchemist for later updates or print it out.

The first-ever Mobile Safety Data Sheet is here!

And this one goes beyond just reading the safety data sheet on your mobile. It’s a complete mobile product’s dossier.

Imagine a technical data sheet + safety data sheet + label + safety instructions in one place. Single source of information. Always up-to-date. Manageable. Processable. Mobile! This feature must be the easiest and the most efficient way to share product information and knowledge with a specific person or the entire supply chain. When you edit, change or update something on your (M)SDS, everyone with the link to it immediately sees that change. No more static PDF sharing – with this feature, everyone in the supply chain always has the last valid version at their fingertips.

We also made the label tool responsive.

Now you can customize a label on your mobile device – anytime, anywhere.

11th & 12th sections update

As you may know in the 11th and 12th sections, you may have to enter test results for each substance that you use in the formulation or the individual raw materials/chemicals. Because this step can be time-consuming, we rolled out a neat update. Now you have to do this step only once, and if you happen to use the same substance in another formulation or raw material, the test results automatically display.

DNEL & PNEC automated values

This feature is another time-saver! From now on, all the DNEL & PNEC values for substances displayed in the 8th section of the Safety Data Sheet are entered automatically. No more manual rewriting!

Please know: values are verified and are following values published in the Registration Dossiers on the ECHA web page.

Personalized Label

Based on the Material Safety Data Sheet, the content of the label is generated automatically. With only a few clicks, you can easily decide on its size and displayed content, then print it out.

We added a neat Edit Label feature that allows you to personalize it even further. Now you can add a custom product description, instructions for use, add additional information, and expiration date if needed.

Composer updates

We updated the composer on several levels.

Substance search: now, you can find relevant results faster than before. Substances with harmonized classification display first, before substances that you’ve already used in previous formulations or raw materials, then the rest of substances are displayed accordingly.

Translations: now you can manage translations for substances from the material composer step directly.

In the next few weeks, we will roll out Specific Concentration Limits which will be modifiable in the material composer directly.
