I Can’t Find THIS Material in Allchemist! What do I do?

Allchemist blog

“Maja, I can’t find THIS material in the Allchemist database!”

This is something I get daily. Over the phone, via Skype, and on my e-mail.

I could go into a long explanation of all the Allchemist benefits, but the reality is you need THAT raw material data in Allchemist in order to use it in the formulation right away, create (M)SDS and move on to the next project.

That’s why I thought I’d give you practical advice.

Not sure about you, but I like being practical, fast & efficient.

The whole team at Allchemist really want you to stop wasting time on the complicated legacy software, manual data processing, waiting for weeks on the info about the material you’re considering to use and juggling with documents. All of that before you even start doing your actual work – formulating and testing a new product.

This is complicated, and a complicated route means lost time, efficacy and revenue!

So, when you can’t find the material you need in Allchemist, do this:

  1. Notify the supplier/distributor of the material you’re missing in Allchemist. Explain to them why is that info important to you and how will you both benefit out of it.
  2. Enter the data on the missing raw material in your own private lab. Here is how you can enter data on the raw material yourself. Try it out, it’s super easy and it doesn’t take a lot of time. Once you have it in a digital form, you and your team can use it forever.
  3. You can send me an email at maja@allchemist.net with all the specification of the material you’re missing, and I’ll make sure it’s digitized asap.

For raw material suppliers: Why R&D needs your materials in digital form

Working with Allchemist means working with data that is constantly updated in real time for the whole supply chain.

With Allchemist, you don’t share papers or those fiddly PDFs, but you just share up-to-date data. It’s as easy as you would share someone’s contact info via the smartphone.

Everyone, including your clients (formulators), has access to the material information in a digital form, meaning that R&D departments can instantly use it in their virtual formulations and see right away how it fits in their next project.

You see, Allchemist is not yet another marketplace search engine or e-commerce platform for raw materials.

What does that mean?

With conventional marketplaces, your sales team and distributors still end up with papers and multiple points of friction in the course of knowledge distribution.

Sales teams usually juggle with documents, catalogs, datasheets and burden the technical support team with the additional questions before they can accommodate their client.

With Allchemist they can really help their customers right away, invite them in their workgroup and show them all of the material parameters and its fit in the starting point formulation.

If you’re the raw material supplier and want to digitize your product portfolio or set up a conference call for a live demonstration of Allchemist feature, please contact me at maja@allchemist.net.

Always happy to help.
